Noir 1983 (2021-2022)
Key Features:
Quake style movement and shooting with the added bonus of a “hard reload” that drops the remaining ammo in the weapon’s magazine for a faster reload time
Health and “Wealth” (points) that change depending on the player’s interaction with enemies
Basic enemy AI (pathfinding, following the player, and firing projectiles)
Developed in Unity
This was a project created with SJSU’s game dev club, I along with a group of concept and 3D artists developed a small FPS demo. School requirements caused most members to leave with me finishing a small build myself later on. Noir was created as a “boomer shooter” in Unity, even basing some of the movement off of Quake 3 source code.
