Noir 1983 (2021-2022)

Key Features:

  • Quake style movement and shooting with the added bonus of a “hard reload” that drops the remaining ammo in the weapon’s magazine for a faster reload time

  • Health and “Wealth” (points) that change depending on the player’s interaction with enemies

  • Basic enemy AI (pathfinding, following the player, and firing projectiles)

    Developed in Unity

This was a project created with SJSU’s game dev club, I along with a group of concept and 3D artists developed a small FPS demo. School requirements caused most members to leave with me finishing a small build myself later on. Noir was created as a “boomer shooter” in Unity, even basing some of the movement off of Quake 3 source code.
